The Fish That Tries to Climb a Tree

“Not all those who wander are lost.” ― J.R.R. Tolkien, The Fellowship of the Ring Albert Einstein famously wrote, “Everybody is a genius. Enoshima

“Don’t pack up your camera until you’ve left the location.” ― Joe McNally Along with Shimokitazawa, which was featured in the last post, the anime Someday’s Dreamers Natsu No Sora set in Enoshima Island as well. This island has been one of my favorite weekend destinations outside of Tokyo. The iconic Enoden trains were featured in the opening theme of the anime with the sunset in background. The island offers all sorts of attractions, including shrines, park, observation tower, and caves. Additionally, you can enjoy authentic seafood cooked with local ingredients.

Nakaminato Fish Market

“Always seeing something, never seeing nothing, being photographer” ― Walter De Mulder Nakaminato Fish Market, including its fishing port, in Ibaraki prefecture, offers numerous fish markets as well as seafood restaurants. Since the port is among the biggest bases for the coastal fishery, the market offers a wide range of fresh fish. Why don’t you try sushi and other seafood dish made of the locally fished ingredients when you stop by this area?   Via: http://www.att-japan.net/en/spot/ES001015
