Self-reflection – Early May 2025

“Life might have its failures, but this was not it. The only true failure can come if you quit.”
― Andrea Beaty, Rosie Revere, Engineer: A Picture Book

My life is finally gaining momentum—the right people, the right job, the right skills, and the right place. Everything is falling into place. Some have chosen to walk away, while others have stepped in. And that’s perfectly fine. I’m not trying to control it, nor do I wish to. I’m simply going with the flow.

Before diving into my story, I’d like to share some reflections on life as I see it now.

Everything in our world is constantly in motion—there is no such thing as a final outcome. What may feel like a victory today could mark the beginning of a decline. Conversely, what seems like a defeat might be the very moment that sets the stage for a lasting triumph. In truth, we can never fully predict what the future holds.

Moreover, I don’t believe in luck as something random or magical. What we often call “luck” is, in fact, the result of our past actions—the efforts we’ve made, the foresight we’ve exercised, and the meaningful relationships we’ve cultivated over time. Ultimately, it comes down to how well we’ve anticipated the future and how thoroughly we’ve prepared ourselves to remain relevant and skillful.

The dream job:

Android is more than just a mobile operating system to me—it embodies my enduring passion for technology. What brings true meaning to my life, and has significantly increased my happiness, is the fact that I now earn a living doing what I love. As I’ve mentioned before, last year I achieved my dream job as an Android app developer, and since then, my workplace has felt like my own personal Disneyland.

Of course, there are responsibilities, expectations, and relationships to manage—but even when I take all of that into account, I can still say, without hesitation, that I’m happier than ever before.

I’m fortunate to have an understanding boss, a considerate management team, and supportive, friendly colleagues. Despite the inevitable challenges, I genuinely love what I do. And all of this became possible because I’ve reached a moment in life where the seeds I planted years ago have begun to grow—slowly, but steadily.

I was drawn to programming because I loved creating things. I fell in love with Android because I’ve always admired Google’s vision and innovation. Today, the word “happiness” holds a new meaning for me—it’s the joy of witnessing the growth of everything I once dreamed of, unfolding even faster than I had imagined.

The right people:

Through social gatherings and my work, I’ve had the privilege of meeting the right people—individuals who have genuinely enriched my life and contributed to my overall happiness. What truly sets these interactions apart is the simple yet profound fact that they listened. They found value in what I had to say, and that validation made a significant difference in my life.

Whether through reading, learning new programming languages, or reflecting on my life experiences, I’ve developed thoughts and perspectives that, to my surprise, have positively influenced others. In turn, their willingness to listen has inspired me even more deeply to continue growing and evolving.

My gratitude toward those who offered me their time and attention knows no bounds. I’m sincerely thankful to those who extended their help when I needed it, and to those who lent a compassionate ear when I wished to share. Life, in all its complexity, is truly beautiful.

Finally, goodbye old days…

I believe it’s time to say goodbye—farewell to the old days, outdated habits, and to those who no longer have a place in my life. When you set out on a new journey, you must lighten the load, and that includes letting go of certain people as well. Former friends who no longer hold meaning, those who no longer inspire, and those who chose to walk away—I don’t chase after them, nor have I ever intended to. It’s simply over, and I wish them well on their own paths.

My life has begun to flourish, and now is the time to reap the rewards of what I’ve sown. Things are finally taking off.
