A Night Stroll in Enoshima

The more, the merrier! It was a fantastic experience to walk around the island with new people I met, including someone I already knew from other meetup events.

Two weeks ago, I hosted another meetup on Enoshima Island. The attendees were amazing and very diverse, including two a European and a Brit who have lived in Japan for some time. The main goal of this meetup was to watch the sunset over the Pacific Ocean from the island’s observation deck. We had enjoyable interactions and conversations while waiting for the sunset, and we all watched it together.

After the sunset, we all clapped and cheered. It was such a wonderful time.

After the meetup, we had dinner at Kua Aina, a Hawaiian burger shop. During dinner, we had more conversations. I shared some personal stories, like losing my dad to COVID.

I also shared one of the reasons I started this meetup: a strange encounter with a man who screamed during a conversation at another language exchange meetup. Everyone laughed, and we had a great time together.

Hopefully, I could do it again in another season.
