Given that I’ve been developing my current Android app on my Linux laptop, utilizing LibreOffice Calc, the open-source counterpart to Excel, has become my preferred choice for spreadsheet tasks. Considering my circumstances, I frequently interact with this spreadsheet software. However, one of its most vexing features is the auto-spell check, which underscores words not present in the system’s English dictionary with a red wave of alerts. Given that many technical terms aren’t part of the dictionary, copying and pasting error codes into the spreadsheet results in numerous red underlines, which can be quite bothersome.
To address this issue, I conducted a Google search to find out how to disable this irksome feature. Here are the steps to do so:
Language -> For All Text -> None (Do not check spelling)
