This is the 2nd edition of Collaboration with Belajar Jepang. Hasnul Zainal Tamin, my best friend from Jakarta, Indonesia, created another YouTube video about my blog post. The narrator is his wife, Saras, and her sweet voice makes the video more aesthetic.
Learn a Language and Inhale the Culture Behind it is my blog post I posted on September 2nd, 2020. To summarize it, my point was how not only does learning a language helps you improve your linguistic skills but also helps you inhale the entire culture behind the language, itself. It includes the history, demographics, and whole other ideas of those who speak the language natively.
In my personal experience, I’ve exposed myself to a huge amount of documents, news articles, and fiction written in American English throughout my abroad studies in an American college. And through the process of learning the language, I found myself becoming liberal, being sparked by American diversity. Democracy, free speech, gender equality, and political correctness. What I learned through my interactions with the English speaking world shaped who I am today. And I appreciate my international friends for giving me great opportunities to learn their perspectives.
Finally, here is my appreciation for my best friend, Haznul. I’ve started Canvas of Dreams five years ago. When I started this blog, I didn’t know what I should do with it. But somewhere along the way, I started to write my perspectives about our world and share them through this blog. Since I barely got feedback, I didn’t really know who’s reading my posts. But there was the one who kept reading my posts and “LIKES” it when I shared my posts on Facebook. That’s Haznul. Throughout the good times and bad times, he always kept reading my blog posts all the way from Indonesia and gave me feedback sometimes. And recently, he’s begun to feature my posts on his YouTube channel, Belajar Jepang.
The notion that there’s someone out there reading my blog post gives me an indescribable motivation to keep posting here. Again, thank you brother Haznul for creating another this video about my blog post. And thank you Saras for narrating the script translated into Indonesian. My hope is that my thoughts spread throughout your Indonesian audience.
Here’s a link to Belajar Jepang.
Cheers to our priceless friendship without borders!
