“When two people meet, each one is changed by the other so you’ve got two new people.”
― John Steinbeck
Do you like meeting new people? I do. This is just my thought, but without meeting people, our life is nothing. They inspire us, bring us with joy by sharing their like-no-other experience, and vice versa.
We’re living in a world where you can bring your ideas into reality and make the world more generous, fun and exciting place. If you have a problem, go out there, meet folks and talk to them. For every problem, there’s a solution.
Since our comfort zone is so limited, we tend to stick with things we are familiar with. But meeting new people gives you a reason to expand your limitations and reach new possibilities you never imagined.
My personal recommendation is to join a Meetup group. Meetup is like a friend-making app built to help people meet in real life. Throughout meetups, I have met tons of friends from all over the world. Last night, I met a Brazilian couple, Fernando and Maya.
Fernando works as an IT manager in a Japanese tech company, while Maya serves as a chef in an international school. After having a difficult time dealing with their work in Shimane Prefecture, they moved to Yokohama with a hope to better their lives in Japan. Now, they take advantage of their skills in the professional fields respectively in a foreign country. In the future, they’re planning to move to North America. That’s so admirable, isn’t it? There are so many things we can learn from their vibrant and independent life.
Meeting new people is so inspirational that it touches, moves and inspires us all. This is maybe why you should stop googling,
