“Raise your words, not voice. It is rain that grows flowers, not thunder.”
― Rumi
Maybe once in a while, we should walk in the rain. So many of us feel uncomfortable walking in the rain and getting wet, yet our body is filled with water. Walking mindlessly in the rain may heal your mind. Not only does it give you an opportunity to get closer to nature
In the previous post, I posted the photographic journal of the walk through the downtown of Yokohama, where streets were sparsely populated. Then I went to Chinatown. Despite the rainy weather, the district was crowded. But Chinatown in the rain slightly looked more colorful and appealing than any other day.
For the past consecutive years, I attended and photographed the Chinese New Year Festival held in the district but didn’t attend this year. So, I wanted to come back here to make up my absence in the annual event. The streets and alleys were strewn with lanterns and lights. For food lovers, this is the best place to enjoy most authentic Chinese/South East Asian food. Additionally, when you visit here, don’t hesitate to stroll along the back alleys. You may find the hidden intimate restaurants there.
