“I always like walking in the rain, so no one can see me crying.”
― Charlie Chaplin
Rain has its own elegance. Many photographers consider the bad weather as the worst situation for photography. I, however, disagree with them. Each weather has its own beauty, and so does the raining weather. As I mentioned earlier, rain has its own elegance; and that’s especially true when you’re photographing in a city.
For example; walking the streets of West Shinjuku when it rains, you would see that the very tip of a skyscraper is covered with fog. And fog can be excellent for creating dramatic effects in photography. Not only does rain make the urban skyline foggy and dramatic, it makes the city look a whole lot different from the normal day and breathtakingly beautiful sometimes. It’s kinda magical. On my way home from work, I had a chance to capture the following images during the rain.
