“We photograph things in order to drive them out of our minds. My stories are a way of shutting my eyes.”
― Franz Kafka
Aoyama Cemetery is situated in Aoyama, Minato, Tokyo, managed by the municipal government. The venue is famous for its cherry blossoms during spring. When I visited the area, it was unfortunately almost the end of spring; thus cherry blossoms were slightly being replaced by green leaves. Since cherry blossoms represent life in Japan, the venue is a rare occasion where death and life co-exist. If I have a chance, I’d love to come bach here next year.
